Description
Leaves of three, let it be. This is sound advice when one is talking about Toxicodendron diversilobum, more commonly known as Poison Oak. One of the things I love about living above 4000 feet elevation is that it doesn’t grow near me. When I lived near the stuff it seems I found a way to get that telltale rash at least once a year. That said, one has to admit that this little less-than-desireable member of the cashew family gets some beautiful color during autumn as shown here in these leaves from Shasta County California on a late September afternoon.
I cropped this frame to a square aspect ratio. I also offer it in a 4x5 (8x10) crop elsewhere in my gallery.

it's beautifully captured and finished, Mike. I like how it fades gently into the background drawing the eye to the vibrant colors in front.
