When I woke up at Lake Britton (Shasta County, California, USA) this past Sunday the first thing I noticed was that the outside air temp was 36 degrees Fahrenheit. From the previous day's fishing excursion I knew the lake surface was just above 60 degrees. This was a recipe for fog on the water so I took a morning stroll and it didn't disappoint. This scene was relatively monochromatic already so I figured I'd make it official and process it as black and white.

First of all, thank you for stopping by my little gallery. Whether you're a fellow artist, potential buyer, or a casual observer, I'm glad something made you want to take a look at my work. I've appreciated fine photography of all types for as long as I remember. I suspect it is at least partially hereditary as my parents met while each was involved in photographic pursuits for the US Navy (mom in the darkroom and dad in the field). Since my first instant film camera as an adolescent, I've always had a passion for photography and a real appreciation for what goes in to making a truly fine image.
