Description
A 1943 Twin Beech 18 is certainly not something that would widely be considered an aerobatic aircraft but Matt Younkin throws his around quite a bit (within the structural limits of a 80 year old airplane that was never meant to be upside down of course). I caught Mr. Younkin demonstrating the capabilities of his beautiful airplane at the Aviation Roundup in Minden Nevada on October 1, 2022.
The fact that this plane is equipped with a couple of the "junior" versions of Pratt and Whitney's 9 cylinder Wasp engine, makes me wish I could imbed sound in a photograph. It sounds beyond cool if you’re into such things.
