Description
On this April 2023 morning my wife and I were walking in the Table Mountain Ecological Reserve in Butte County California enjoying the wildflower bloom. By mid-morning the visible light had gotten fairly harsh so I switched to my full spectrum modified camera and grabbed some images in infrared and near infrared. This image is one of the latter, captured using a 590 nanometer filter which allows the yellow/ orange/red end of the visible spectrum to join with the infrared to create some quite surreal looking images (after some post production). I always enjoy looking at a loan tree in a field of grass and some wildflowers always make a nice addition.

The filter explains the dry grass look.😂 I went last year in the Spring and took several shots of this tree (not posted). The flowers were tiny. I bet the flowers would be great next Spring if the rainfall is ok this Autumn. Hard to find parking so go early on a week day. When I post my photo I will pin you.

Thank you, Alinna! I've been there a few times...I stole my wife from Butte County...lol. I have some visible light stuff from this day elsewhere in my gallery and look forward to seeing your image(s)!

Breathtaking. Gorgeous work Mike, technically I am at a loss, forgive me, but the lone tree and that big blue sky, absolutely moves and inspires me.
