Description
I captured this image in mid-afternoon from the edge of a public road in remote northern Lassen County (California, USA). I have profound respect for the hard working farmers and ranchers that often work from dawn to dusk doing their parts to keep the world fed. This is still a working ranch, although in the age of pickups, stock trailers, and ATV’S the old structures on this site have long been abandoned but still serve as monuments to the rugged heritage of today’s hard working rural Americans.

Wow, phenomenal capture and image! I love your accompanying words and agree, and I always feel sad to see abandoned buildings, especially out in the beautiful country, as I sense the spirit of the story behind the image, or at least I wonder deeply about it.
