The Sacramento Riverbend area in Tehama County, California, is a region located along the Sacramento River, known for its natural beauty and relatively rural, tranquil atmosphere. The “Mediterranean” type climate in that area makes for some very dramatic seasonal changes, from lush green landscapes in the late winter and spring to an arid, golden terrain in summer. It can be fascinating to observe these transitions throughout the year, so I try to visit a couple of times annually.
