While on my morning walk one morning I saw Mr. and Mrs. Mallard resting in a small marshy area alongside the Sacramento River in Redding, California, USA. It was a shady spot with diffuse light coming in at 10AM so I donโt know if theyโd been awake very early and were taking a nap or if theyโd slept in after a late night.
