Artist's Description

While waiting for a moonrise that never materialized due to clouds, I saw this scene in the fading light of the evening. One of the main reasons I had a camera modified to capture the infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum is to facilitate shooting in the mid-day sun. However, that most certainly doesn’t preclude its use in lower light. I rather like the results here with the heifer in the foreground looking out of the frame to camera left thereby injecting just a bit of mystery into the scene.
