Artist's Description
This shot captures the center span of the Pit 3 bridge over the dam of the same name. It was shot from just to the north, looking across Lake Britton. The water at the top of the dam reminds me a great deal of an "infinity edge" swimming pool when the lake is full and I thought it looked wonderful reflecting fall tones in the October late afternoon light.
Lake Britton is in Shasta County, California. It is popular among anglers targeting trout, bass, and crappie. It is fed by the Pit River, Hat Creek, Burney Creek, and Clark Creek. The main body of the lake is very near The McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park
