Description
This 2:1 panoramic image was captured on a June evening from near the top of Thompson Peak on the Lassen and Plumas County Line in Northern California, USA. The view is of the Honey Lake Valley in Lassen County. My humble Janesville California home could be seen in the middle of the frame at the base of the mountain if it wasn’t obscured by trees. On this particular evening, a summer thunderstorm was in the process of moving out of the area as the sun was setting in the west, which was out of the frame to camera-left in this image. This made for dramatic and rapidly changing conditions such as those seen here above Honey Lake, Bald Mountain, Bass Hill, and of course the community of Janesville.
