Description

I’ve always wanted to take a close up photo of the sun showing sun spots, etc. On a clear February 2023 afternoon I finally got around to making it happen. I don’t have a telescope but with a long telephoto lens and some trial and error, I was able to get a capture showing some nice sunspots and even a bit of the texture of the surface or our wonderful little life giving star.

"Stacking" several frames in Adobe Photoshop in post production helped bring out considerable detail.
