Description
While driving across the Lake Almanor Causeway on State Route 36 in Plumas County California on a chilly January morning, I saw something dark on the edge of a break in the ice on the lake. I turned around and went back to investigate and found it to be a pair of river otters. I spent about 20 minutes grabbing a few frames hoping to get a shot with both animals in the same frame but, alas, they didn’t cooperate but I it was still neat to watch them for a bit as I’d never seen them at that location and it had been quite a while since I’d seen one at all.
