Artist's Description

Abandoned Castantia Church in Doyle California, USA. The church sits just off the scenic US395 highway. I was able to capture this image in early morning light as the trees (mostly cottonwoods, I believe) around the church were in vibrant fall coloration.8/9/21 NOTE:While this image isn't "wildfire related" per se, I will temporarily move both versions of it to my wildfire related collection as this wonderful old building recently survived the Beckwourth Complex wildfires that devastated mush of the area around it.

In 2018 I was able to retire from a professional career that provided a good livelihood for my family but, if I'm honest, left much to be...
