Description
This little killdeer was the only wildlife I saw on a little stroll at Antelope Lake on a spring afternoon. It wasn’t really wanting to be seen; it took me a bit to find it, even knowing it was there. But it most definitely wanted to be heard. If you’ve ever been around them you know what I’m talking about. They voice their displeasure at anything they see as threatening in a very high pitched shrill. I was no threat to this one though, and after grabbing a frame, I walked on as it continued to audibly gripe for quite some time.
