Description
Abandoned school house in Jess Valley, Modoc County, California, USA.
This old structure always catches my eye as I drive by it but the lighting around it is almost always very challenging, due either to harsh high noon light or harsh late day shadows from steep wooded terrain at the valley's edge. On this particular day, smoke from a nearby wild fire took care of the shadows in late afternoon and I was able to get a good exposure of the building.

Great shot. Always a bit sad to see someone's hard work and once pride and joy fall into disuse and be abandoned. But they live on in photos :) Nicely done.

Thank you, Sabina! No, it's on private property so I stayed on the public side of the fence.
