Artist's Description
I captured this image along Independence Creek in Sierra County, California with my full spectrum modified camera fitted with a 720 nanometer filter. Deciduous foliage, especially new spring foliage reflects infrared energy quite strongly giving it a quite dreamy glow when captured with this type of gear. The fallen log bridging the cold, clear waters of the stream adds wonderfully to the overall serenity of this image in my humble opinion.
This atmospheric landscape will appeal to collectors of surreal or dreamlike imagery, as well as nature lovers drawn to quiet, reflective wilderness scenes. Its soft, wintry glow makes it ideal for minimalist interiors, modern rustic spaces, or mountain cabins. A perfect piece for residents of Sierra County or anyone with a fond connection to California's wild high country.
