Artist's Description
Bridge picnic area on State Route 89 a few miles north of Old Station in Shasta County California is a nice little spot to stop and stretch the legs while driving through (and not a terrible area to wet a line on Hat Creek when the trout seasonβs open and you feel so inclined). Iβve dubbed this image Hat Creek Winter Wonderland as it looks like it could have been captured on Christmas morning. In reality it was a full month into spring at the time. April showers can be white in this part of the world. I took an extended leg stretch with a camera and walked a bit downstream from the picnic area itself and this was the scene I saw at a bend in the creek.
