Description
This run down old house/cabin is one of several old abandoned structures in my local area (Lassen County California, USA) that Iām enamored with. This one is fairly challenging to get good photos of due to its position out in a privately owned field, a fair bit from the road so a long lens is a must to photograph it without trespassing. On this particular evening Iād spent some time and gas money driving to possible sunset spots as there were wonderful thin high clouds around much of the area in the afternoon. However, it seemed that everywhere I went there were no clouds in the direction of the sun. I ended up here where Iād be shooting in the opposite direction of the setting sun but hoping that enough nicely colored light would be thrown on the clouds anyway. As can be seen, it did not disappoint and gave me some wonderful pastel tones in the sky.
