Description
The Eagleville Community Church in Modoc County California was built in 1887-1888 and obviously lovingly cared for as it's still an absolutely beautiful building. On a prior trip to the area to this one I got there in golden early morning light and caught a nice visible light image of the wonderful old building. On this camping trip, my wife and I went exploring for future places to camp around the region and didn't roll in to Eagleville until mid day so it was time to break out the infrared gear. I think the old structure looks wonderful bathed in just about any light. I used my “full spectrum” modified camera fitted with an 830 nanometer filter to capture this image so no visible light was used in its creation.
It's my understanding that regular services are no longer held in the old church but the occasional weddings, baptisms, and funerals still are.
