Description
I have always loved the sight of an aspen grove. I’ve seen this one at Crater Lake in Lassen County, California, USA numerous times over the years. On this particular day I was struck by the late afternoon side lighting that was striking the trunks and felt I just had to capture it. I then processed the image for a somewhat “painterly” look in an effort to convey the ethereal and dreamy feel looking at these beautiful trees gives me. An early viewer of the image said she thought it looked like the aspens are dancing and I completely agree; hence the title.

Beautiful capture; the Aspens remind me so much of the White Birch trees in the north east.
