Description
The 2022 Aviation Roundup in Minden Nevada was the first time in over 20 years I’d seen the US Navy Blue Angels perform in person. This means it’s also the first time I’ve seen them perform since making the switch to the F/A-18E “Super Hornet” (they still flew the original Hornets when I saw them last). Photos won’t do justice, but the first thing I noticed was how much bigger these planes are than the original. Wikipedia says 20 percent larger and it’s definitely noticeable. The Blue Angels have been amazing spectators since 1946 through 9 different aircraft. If you have any interest in aviation and somehow haven’t seen them perform you owe it to yourself to catch one of their amazing shows.
